Dentists are healthcare professionals who specialize in diagnosing, treating, and preventing diseases and disorders of the teeth and gums. They work in dental offices, clinics, and hospitals. Dentists typically have four years of undergraduate education followed by four years of dental school. After completing dental school, they must complete a two-year residency program.
